System Administrator role

Users with a System Administrator role can define the restrictions of worklog recording, create teams and define their access to Activity categories.

Users with the System Administrator role can access the administration panel by opening the Settings option in the KRONOS menu.

The left side panel contains the available settings in the System administration, Team administration, and Activity category permission administration submenus.

System administration

In this option the administrator has the ability to set default values for each field used for worklog creation and set the default limits for worklog creation restrictions.

In the Worklog open period filed can be specified how many calendar days users can record a worklog.

When recording a trip, the value selected in the Activity category of semi-automated travel worklogs filed will be the default activity category.

When recording a trip, the value selected in the Activity of semi-automated travel worklogs filed will be the default activity.

The number of days specified in the Future logging field determines how many days the user can pre-record a worklog from the current date.

It is possible to record a worklog for resolved issues up to the given days specified in the Resolved issue logging field.

Can be set to record a worklog retrospectively for tasks that have not yet been created by specified the date in the Before issue creation logging field.

In the Custom report/export pool size field you can specify the number of reports to generate/export in the system at a time in.

In the User team report/export pool size field you can specify the number of Team reports to generate/export in the system at a time in.

In the Scheduled export pool size field you can specify the number of Scheduled reports to generate/export in the system at a time in.

Team administration

KRONOS allows you to group users into teams. The application can create additional teams from groups created in the AD connected to the Jira.

In this administration interface, you can assign a Team leader for each team who can see the worklogs of the users in the team. If the Team leader has the appropriate KRONOS permissions he can also create a report on the worklogs of team members or allow them to log work on closed period.

To create a new team add a name in the Team name text field, assign a user in the Team leader field and in the Group drop-down select the group(s) you want to include in the team.

Click Add to create the team.

After the team is created it can’t be renamed, only the assigned groups can be edited by double clicking on them. If you want to edit the team name or change the Team leader, you can use the delete icon at the end of each team to delete it and create a new one.

Activity category permission administration

When recording a worklog, the user can choose from the activity categories available to him.

User access to activity categories can be restricted. Activity categories can be assigned to groups in this menu. If set the users can only select from the activity categories assigned to their own group on the create worklog screen.

After the administrator selects the group in the Group drop-down field activity categories can be assign to the group. In the Activity category drop-down list all the categories available in the system.

Click Add to finalize the operation.

Associations that have already been created can be edited later by double-clicking on Activity categories.

Use the delete icon at the end of each category to remove the restriction.
