Work with Targets/Hosts

Target systems refer to the devices for which you can store multiple accounts (username-password pairs). In PassMan, you can choose from the following device types: Web, macOS, Windows, Linux, Solaris, and Cisco IOS. In addition to these, you also have the option to create a custom target or simply store information for reference purposes (Memo).

 

Add new Target

  1. Click the blue Create Target button at the top center, or click the + icon;

  1. Fill out the necessary information in the pop-up window;

  2. If we want to create a Unix based Target (Solaris, CentOS, Linux, macOS) than the Host key field is mandatory;

    1. Clicking theimage-20250517-143918.png button will load the SSH-key automatically (RSA-key, ECDSA-key, fingerprint).

Edit Target

  1. Right click on the Target's name and from the menu select the Edit option, or click the tree dots on the right;

  1. After making the changes, click the Save button.

 

Move Target

It is possible to move Targets around: from one folder to another one. This function is very useful when importing Targets to the database.

  1. Right-click on the Target's name and select the Move/Copy option from the menu (or three dots);

    1. If you wish to move multiple Targets at the same time, select the checkboxes accordingly

  2. A pop-up window will be triggered where you can select the destination folder to re-locate the Target(s) to.

  3. When you finished, simply click the Save button. You can cancel the action by choosing the Close button.

Delet Target

  1. Right click on the Target's name and select the Delete option from the menu;

  2. To confirm your intention to delete in the confirmation popup window, cick the Yes button.
