CRM use case
Business situation:
You wish to manage customers, clients, sales leads with owner KAMs, lead statuses, revenue and contract related data, etc.
Technical conditions:
You have one or more Jira projects which contain lead and other CRM data, several Jira custom fields containing relevant user data. Custom field types can be single- or multi-line text, number, radio button, checklist, single or multiple choice, date picker, date-time picker, etc.
You may have a simple Jira workflow to represent new lead processes, but in case you have a stricter process, JExcel respects possible workflow steps, conditions and validators.
Custom fields used for the example:
Company (single-line text)
Lead name (originally the Summary field - with JExcel you have the option to rename Jira fields in a convenient and simple way, only in your JExcel workbooks)
KAM (user picker)
Contract value (EUR) (number)
Propbability for contracting ( % ) (number)
Expected revenue (this is a special JExcel calculated “column”, technically it is like you have created a scripted Jira custom field without script knowledge and without Jira admin permissions/knowledge. Columns like this exist only in your workbook so you can imagine the benefits of such “virtual fields”, e.g. fields visible only to you)
CRM lead workflow:
How can JExcel support your work as a Sales manager or as a Key Account Manager:
See CRM Lead data in one excel-like view
Colour Jira tickets representing leads and keep organized your Jira tickets - use flags
Manage lead status in one view
Compare contract values, expected revenues with showing charts (in case the same currency applies to all leads).
Create reports for KAMs, leads, new contracts - use filters
Create reports for specific time frame
Visualize numeric values
Filter and visualize numeric values at the same time - show contract values in a certain time period
Create calculated columns by your own instead of going to your Jira administrator for new custom fields and scripting. See average/sum/min/max values for numeric or financial columns.
Manage upcoming dates like date of next action or next meeting
Rename your Jira fields to better suit your needs (it will only be visible in your workbook, the original name of fields will be shown when viewing issues in Jira)
Create new tasks directly from your workbook
View task details directly from your workbook by opening JExcel sidebar (similar to issue detail view in agile boards)
See if your colleagues left you a comment about a lead or uploaded a new document - just have to show comment and attachment columns
