Installing and Upgrade

Before you begin

You must have the Jira System Administrators global permission before you can carry out the instructions on this page.

You must have the Jira Core or Jira Software installed on your system.

We always support the latest Jira version and also earlier versions.

Installing Issue Navigator Plus


To install Issue Navigator Plus take the following steps:

  1. Log in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission.

  2. Click the admin drop-down and choose Atlassian Marketplace and the Manage add-ons screen loads.
    (info) Tip: Use its Keyboard Shortcut instead: g then g and start typing manage... .

  3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page and locate Issue Navigator Plus via search.
    The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results.

  4. Click Buy now to purchase a license for Issue Navigator Plus.
    You're prompted to log into your MyAtlassian account. Issue Navigator Plus begins to download.

  5. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.

  6. Click on Apply license.
    If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license key into your Jira instance.

Upgrading Issue Navigator Plus

Free upgrade is available for users with a valid Issue Navigator Plus license.

To upgrade Issue Navigator Plus take the following steps:

  1. Log in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission.

  2. Click the admin drop-down and choose Atlassian Marketplace and the Manage add-ons screen loads.
    (info) Use Keyboard Shortcut instead: g then g and start typing manage... .

  3. Find Issue Navigator Plus in a list of your installed add-ons and click the Update button that is displayed if an update is available.
    (info) You can select Action required option on the Manage add-ons page to get a list of all available updates on your instance.
