Installation and upgrade

Before you begin

You must have the JIRA System Administrators global permission before you can carry out the instructions on this page.

We always support the latest JIRA Agile and the JIRA versions supported by it.

Installing Plange

To install Plange, take the following steps:

1. Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
2. Click the admin drop-down and choose Atlassian Marketplace and the Manage add-ons screen loads.
    Tip: Use Keyboard Shortcut instead: g then g and start typing manage... .
3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page and locate Plange via search.
   The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results.
4. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Plange.
   You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Plange begins to download.
5. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
6. Click Apply license.
   If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your JIRA instance.

Upgrading Plange

Free upgrade is available for users with a valid Plange license.

To upgrade Plange, take the following steps:

1. Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
2. Click the admin drop-down and choose Atlassian Marketplace and the Manage add-ons screen loads.
    Use Keyboard Shortcut instead: g then g and start typing manage... .
3. Find Plange in a list of your installed add-ons and click the Update button that is displayed if an update is available.
    You can select Action required option on the Manage add-ons page to get a list of all available updates on your instance.

Disabling Plange

1. Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
2. Choose the cog icon  at top right of the screen, then choose add-ons, select Manage add-ons (left tabs).
   Tip: Use Keyboard Shortcut instead: g then g and start typing manage... .
3. Expand Plange in the User-installed Add-ons.
   
4. Click the Disable button.
5. Repeat for other Tempo add-ons that are bundled with the Plange (Core and Teams) if you are not using other Tempo products.

Uninstall Plange

1. Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
2. Choose the cog icon  at top right of the screen, then choose add-ons, select Manage add-ons (left tabs).
   Tip: Use Keyboard Shortcut instead: g then g and start typing manage... .
3. Expand Plange in the User-installed Add-ons.
   
4. Click the Uninstall button.
5. Repeat for other Tempo add-ons that are bundled with the Plange (Core and Teams) if you are not using other Tempo products that depends on the module.
