Save your first password

1. Quick password saving (non sharable)

Navigate to the Dashboard from the top menu, then select the Quick Password Saving card in the Tips section

The pop-up window will first ask what type of password you need to save: shareable or non-shareable. → Select Just me (private) option → click Next

Paste the login URL of the web target for which you want to save an account (username/password) into the appropriate field. → click Next

Note

Ensure the format includes the full login URL, not just the base URL. For example, provide the complete login link like https://mycompany.com/login

Fill out the credentials such as Username, Password, than click Save.

This is a simplified method for saving passwords, specifically available for web targets. Of course, advanced settings are also available, allowing you to save passwords and SSH keys for Windows, Linux, MacOS, Solaris, and Cisco IOS targets. To do this → Click on the Create target button located above the menu bar.

2. Quick password saving (sharable)

Now select My colleagues too (shared) option at the first popup

Choose Vault folder or create a new one e.g. 'Marketing'

Paste the login URL of the web target for which you want to save an account (username/password) into the appropriate field → click Next

Fill out the credentials such as Username, Password → click Next

If you need to share the password now, slect Share password now option → click Next

From the dropdown menu, select your Jira Instance (tenant) option instead of 'Local' (as shown in the picture) → click Next

Share with a user, a group or make it available for everyone → click Next

Define the permissions for the user with whom you are sharing the password:

  • Only view and login

  • Modify and view

Than click Save.

Login to a website through PassMan

1. Get PassMan Secure Login browser extension

To utilize PassMan's auto login and 1-click login features, first download the appropriate PassMan Secure Login browser extension from PassMan’s website.

PassMan Secure Login (PMSL) browser extension is currently available for Chrome, Edge, Firefox (Safari coming soon) browsers.

PassMan Secure Login (PMSL) is also available for Windows, Linux and Android Operating Systems. To access these type of systems with 1-click login feature, get the extensions from our website.

In the top right corner of your browser, upon successful installation, a PassMan icon will appear

It will be highlighted in red, indicating that you are not logged into PassMan yet

This is because you haven't connected your existing password vault to the browser extension

Click on the icon, and in the popup configuration window, enter the URL of your password vault (return to the PassMan page and copy the URL)

Now, navigate back to the browser window where PassMan is open.

2. 1-Click login to targets from PassMan

Navigate to the Accounts from the top menu

The page displays a row showing the previously recorded username/password pair (account), along with associated information and available operations.

Select the ikon-habmi.png icon if the rows are not displaying correctly

Click the lakat.png icon to view credentials

Click the login-ikon.png icon to login to the target (1-click login, no need to give any credentials while loggin in)

3. Auto-login to targets when visiting a website

Automatic login is also possible for web apps/websites. Simply visit the login page of the respective web target.

To achieve this, the following requirements must be met:

  • Accepted automatic login in browser extension settings

  • You are logged into PassMan

  • The website/webapp’s account is saved in PassMan
